Biography
2010 CROSS COUNTRY: Appeared in two meets during her junior campaign, posting a 6K time of 26:32 at the SF State Invitational (Oct. 8) and a 20:55.7 clocking in the 5K open event at the Santa Clara Bronco Invite (Oct. 16).
2010 TRACK: Posted the seventh-fastest 3,000 steeplechase time in school history with a 13:02.12 clocking at the Johnny Mathis Invitational (April 3) … Also competed in the 2-mile event at the SF State Distance Carnival (March 26), as well as the 5,000 meters at Cal State Stanislaus' Kim Duyst Invitational (March 6) … Saw her first action of the year in the 3,000 meters at the UW Husky Open during the indoor campaign (Feb. 14) ... Was named to the SF State Athletics Dean's List for both the fall and spring semesters.
2009 CROSS COUNTRY: Saw action in three events as a sophomore ... Finished 22nd at the Mills College Invitational with a 5K time of 22:06 ... Also participated in the SF State Invitational and Santa Clara Bronco Invitational.
2009 TRACK: Did not compete.
2008 CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in three races during her freshman campaign ... Posted a 6K best of 25:19 at the SF State Invitational ... Earned Academic All-CCAA recognition.
PRIOR TO SF STATE: Graduated in 2008 from Woodland High School where she earned MVP honors.
PERSONAL: Parents are John and Chris Bencomo ... Has two siblings, Max and Molly ... Likes to travel and explore new places ... Majoring in Industrial Design.
