Jessica Hewins joined the San Francisco State women’s soccer coaching staff in July 2021.
Hewins spent the prior two seasons as an assistant coach at Menlo College and has been coaching youth clubs for over 10 years. She obtained her United Soccer Coaches National License in 2014 and her USSF C License in 2018. She is also currently coaching in the Girls Academy for SVSA/Palo Alto Soccer Club.
The Sacramento area native played her freshman year at Sacramento State before transferring to Humboldt State. She started every match for the Lumberjacks from 2004-06. She earned All-CCAA Second Team honors as a senior and garnered All-GNAC Honorable Mention her prior two seasons. She is fourth all-time on the Lumberjacks’ career leaders list with 12 assists and is tied for third-most in a season with eight.
After finishing her college career, Hewins competed in the USL-W League for New York Magic and in the WPSL for Elk Grove Pride.
