Chris Manuele

Chris Manuele joined San Francisco State as the track and field program’s assistant coach in July 2021.

For the previous two seasons, Manuele was an asssitant coach for the University of San Francisco Cross Country and Track program. Manuele spent 2018-19 as an assistant track & field coach at Boise State, and prior to that spent three seasons in the same role at Southern Oregon. He also coached at his junior college alma mater, Cuesta Community College
 
As a coach at Boise State, Manuele coached 21 All-Mountain West Conference student-athletes in sprints, hurdles, and jumps; and three NCAA West Region preliminary meet qualifiers in sprints, hurdles, and pole vault.
 
While at Southern Oregon, Manuele coached student-athletes to nine program records, six of which were sprints, and a Cascade Conference record in the men’s 100-meter dash and the long jump. He also coached 21 individual Cascade Conference champions, 23 NAIA National qualifiers, and 11 NAIA All-Americans in the sprint and jump events.
 
During his own college career, Manuele competed in the sprints, jumps, and relays. At Cuesta, he was a Top 10 pole vaulter in the state. At Boise State, he became the third-best vaulter in Broncos history, and twice scored at the Pac-12 Conference Championship meet. He wrapped up his career as one of the Top 10 all-time pole vaulters at ASU.
 
Manuele has his Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotions from California University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Arizona State with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Communications, History and Music. Manuele holds certifications with the USATF (Level 1), NASE (Level 2 Speed Specialist), and USTFCCCA (Strength and Conditioning).
