2011 CROSS COUNTRY: Was limited to just two races during her senior harrier campaign due to a leg injury … Completed the season-opening Notre Dame de Namur Invitational as the Gators’ No. 3 runner, crossing the finish line in ninth place at 24:10 to help the Purple and Gold secure a runner-up standing (Sept. 3) … Also saw action at the UW Sundodger Invitational (Sept. 17).
2011 TRACK: Did not compete … Was named to the SF State Athletics Dean’s List for the spring semester.
2010 CROSS COUNTRY: Enjoyed a spectacular debut for the Gators, finishing as the team’s No. 3 runner in three of the five meets she ran ... Helped the Purple and Gold to a runner-up finish at the Stanislaus Invitational with a ninth-place individual effort of 23:51 (Sept. 11) ... Record a 6K season-fast 23:39.0 at the SF State Invitational (Oct. 8) ... Crossed the finishing line in 40th place with a 23:44.7 clocking at the CCAA Championships (Nov. 6) ... Also participated in the NCAA West Regionals (Nov. 20).

PRIOR TO SF STATE: Transferred from El Camino College where she was named Most Valuable Runner ... Graduated in 2007 from San Pedro High School ... Earned her team’s Rookie of the Year award and was voted Most Valuable Runner ... Also competed in basketball as a prep.
PERSONAL: Parents are Gary and Maureen Stephens ... Has brother and one sister ... Majoring in child development at SF State.
