Biography
PRIOR TO SF STATE: Joins the Gators after lettering for Modesto Junior College in cross country and track…while at Modesto JC she was the 2013 conference champion in the steeplechase and broke the schools previous record…at state she placed 11thin the steeple…the native of Ripon, Calif., attended Ripon High School where she lettered all four years for cross country…she was the school’s first female representative in history at the CIF State Cross Country Championships…she lead the girls team to qualify for sections for the first time in school history…in 2010 she was named the Manteca Bulletins All-Area Cross Country Female Runner of the Year…parents are Kari and Dave Betancourt…has two siblings, sisters Rachel and Nicole…hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, horseback riding, guitar, snorkeling, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
