Anthony Mancini

Anthony Mancini joined San Francisco State as an assistant wrestling coach in July 2021.

Prior to coming to the Bay Area, Mancini served as a volunteer assistant coach at Nebraska-Kearney, where he  also wrestled at 184 pounds for the nationally-ranked Lopers in 2020. He focused on the 184, 197, and heavyweight wrestlers. The 2020-21 Lopers were the National Runner-Up and tallied nine All-Americans. He has concurrently held a sales and technical support position with Premier Merchants Group, one of the nation's leading merchant services provider specializing in ATMs and credit card processing

Mancini went 15-4 as a grad student for the Lopers, who were ranked in the Top Five the entire season. Headed into the postseason, Mancini was ranked second in the country but tore his ACL at the NCAA Division II Regionals. From 2014-19, Mancini wrestled at Franklin and Marshall, where he was a three-year captain. He redshirted in 2017-18 and missed 2018-19 due to injury before graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Sociology.

Mancini helped found the Beat the Streets Lancaster, a nonprofit organization that helps kids learn the sport of wrestling. The program offered was one of the first girls programs in Pennsylvania. He was also the head coach of the Barn Burners Wrestling Club.
