2009-10: Notched seven wins in his first season as a Gator … Posted his first collegiate victory with a 14-5 major decision over James Wilkins of Cal Baptist at the Fullerton Open (Nov. 21) … Recorded three wins at the California Collegiate Open, including a pin of Menlo’s Drake Medeiros … Also defeated Chris Armendariz of UC Davis in dual-meet completion by a 12-7 decision … Was named to the SF State Athletics Dean’s List following the 2010 spring semester.


PRIOR TO SF STATE: Transferred from Rio Hondo College in Whittier, Calif., where he was a two-time Foothill Athletic League champion ... Finished fifth in the 125-pound weight class at the 2006 California Community College Championships ... Received Academic All-American honors ... Graduated in 2006 from Rosemead High School ... Was a Mission Valley League champion all four years and a three-time CIF placer ... Served as team captain for two years ... Also competed in water polo and swimming during his prep career.
