San Francisco State University

Giovanna Downing joined San Francisco State Athletics prior to the start of the 2023-24 season.

Prior to returning to SF State, Downing earned her Master's in Athletic Training at California Baptist University. Her clinical rotations included working with the CBU women's water polo team, UC Riverside's men's soccer team and Georgia Southern's men's basketball team.

Downing graduated from SF State in 2020 with a degree in Kinesiology. As a student, she was a member of the Kinesiology Student Association and served as treasurer.
