Hsieh began working at San Francisco State in 2011 and joined SF State Athletics in March 2018. She serves as the academic coordinator for SF State's student-athletes, helping them navigate their way through NCAA regulations and to a path towards graduation. She also serves as the advisor to the SF State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
In 2010, Hsieh earned an MA in Education (Concentration in Equity and Social Justice) from San Francisco State and is currently doctoral candidate in SF State's EdD in Educational Leadership Program. She graduated from California in 2008 with a BA in Ethnic Studies and a minor in Education.
Hsieh has a black belt in Tae Kwan Do.
