Senior Vince Bordi posted a 4-0 record on Saturday to win the individual championship in the 197-pound weight class at the Fullerton Open, defeating three unattached Division I wrestlers en route to the title.  In his opening match of the day, Bordi recorded a narrow 6-5 decision over Andrew Stramler  (CS Bakersfield) before upending Embry-Riddle’s Jake Dempsey by another close score of 5-4. He then disposed of Grant Haschak (Cal Poly) in the semifinals by a 5-2 count before claiming a 5-3 triumph over Shawn Hoehne (UC Davis) in the title bout.
