Nefi Perdomo helped the Gators move up one spot in the CCAA standings and continued their hope for one of the final four spots for the CCAA Basketball Tournament Championships at the end of the month. He started the week off scoring 7 points and recording three steals in the Gators’ 68-66 win over CSUMB on Wednesday. Then in the Gators’ 85-82 overtime win over Cal State LA on Friday, Perdomo he scored eight of his season high 28 points in the final six minutes of the game including the game-tying three as the buzzer sounded in regulation to send the game into overtime. Then in SF State’s 62-57 loss to CSUDH, the freshman guard scored a team high 14 points on 4 of 9 shooting while grabbing four rebounds. For the week, he averaged 16.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 50% from the field and 46.7% from three-point land.
