The 2007-08 CCAA Freshman of the Year has continued where he left off his first season as a Gator as he keyed SF State's 3-0 start this week.  In the Gators' season home opener 76-63 victory over UC Santa Cruz, he scored a game high 22 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field including going 2 for 2 from three-point range and 8 of 10 from the charity stripe.  He also had three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.  Then in the Gators' 79-52 win over Menlo in the First round of the Ron Logsdon Classic in Rohnert Park, he scored 12 points while dishing out two assists, grabbing two rebounds, and recording two steals.  In his last game of the week in the championship game of the Classic, he scored 17 points while dishing out four assists, recording four steals, and grabbing four rebounds in SF State's 87-73 win over West Region opponent, Northwest Nazarene in being named the Tournament's MVP.  For the week, Hayes averaged 17.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3, assists, and 2.3 steals per game while shooting 48% from the field, 74% from the line, and 50% from three-point range in 28.3 minutes per game.
