James Albright was named the Tournament MVP of the Carl's Jr. Mac Martin Invitational as the Gators went 2-0 in the invitational to capture the title. Albright averaged 17.5 points per game while shooting 70% from the field and going a perfect 6-for-6 from the line. He started off the weekend scoring 14 points in the Gators' 60-55 upset win over No. 7 Seattle Pacific. He finished the weekend scoring a season high 21 points while grabbing four rebounds in their 69-66 come-from-behind win over UC-Colorado Springs.
