Hayes played a key role in the Gators' 1-1 weekend. He started the weekend scoring a game high 24 points in SF State's 77-63 loss to Sonoma State. Hayes also had three steals and two assists in the Gators' loss. Then in SF State's first win over Humboldt State in 13 years, Hayes scored 20 points and grabbed two rebounds. For the weekend, he averaged 22 points, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 steals.
