Naveed Bagheri captured the 2008-09 RMAC/West Regional Championship in the 133 weight class on Saturday in Kearney, Nebraska. Bagheri went 3-0 including defeating the No. 1 seed Marques Bravo of Western State by a 7-6 decision in the championship match. Bagheri also was named the RMAC Freshman of the Year. He is one of five Gators that are advancing to the Nationals in two weeks in Houston, Texas.
