Lawson wrapped up his season with a 53rd place finish at the NCAA National Championships, finishing with a time of 33:51.6 which bests the course record of 34:01. The senior battled through the mud and 41 degree temperature to place in the top 20 percent, and his result is the third-best by a Gator at the National Championships in the last 14 seasons after Bruk Assefa placed 45th in 2012 and Josh Babiak took 38th in 2005.
