SAN FRANCISCO-- The visiting Cal State Stanislaus Warriors held the Gators to just 28% shooting from the field including a meager 13% shooting from three-point territory to key their 82-65 CCAA victory over SF State. Ronnie Sawyer led the Warriors with a game high 21 points and was one of four players to score in double digits for the visitors.

Cal State Stanislaus built a 17-7 lead when Reggie Jones connected on 1-of-2 free throws at the 10:40 mark of the first half.
The Warriors continued to hold that double digit lead, until the Gators went on a 13-5 run to cut the lead to 27-25 with just 3:28 to go in the half. But Cal State Stanislaus followed up with a 10-4 run of its own to take a 37-29 lead with only 42 seconds left.
Chad Delaney's three capped a 6-1 scoring burst by the Gators to cut the Warrior lead to 38-35 going into the locker room.
David Love's tip-in the first 30-seconds of the second half, cut the Gator deficit to just 38-37 which was the closest that SF State (2-7, 0-3 CCAA) would get as the Warriors went on a 21-6 scoring spree to take a 59-43 lead with 10:48 to go in regulation.
Cal State Stanislaus (4-1, 1-1 CCAA) would cruise to a 82-65 victory as the Warriors shot 47% from the field for the night including 58% from three-point land.
James Albright led the Gators with 20 points while
Nefi Perdomo added 14 points and
Robbie Herndon chipped in 13 points off the bench.
David Love just missed a double-double as he scored 8 points and grabbed a season high 16 rebounds.
SF State is off now until December 29, when the Gators travel to La Jolla, Calif., for a CCAA game with UC San Diego at 7:30pm.
