SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators' men's basketball team will return to the court this weekend when they participate in the Carl's Jr. Mac Martin Invitational on the campus of Chico State in Chico, Calif. The Gators will face #9 Seattle Pacific this Fri., Nov. 23 and UC-Colorado Springs this Sat., Nov. 24. Game times for both games are set for 5:30pm PST at Chico State's Acker Gym.
SF State comes into the tournament with a 0-2 record after losing 115-110 in triple overtime to Dominican and 86-78 to Minnesota State this past weekend in Rohnert Park, Calif., in the Ron Logsdon Classic. Four Gators are averaging double figures in scoring in
Decensae White (20.5 ppg), William Overton, Jr. (18.5 ppg),
Calvin Otiono (18.0 ppg) and
Robbie Herndon (18.0 ppg). White is also shooting a team best 85.7% from three-point land while Otiono is shooting a team high 56.5% from the field and Overton, Jr., has shot a team high 88% from the charity stripe. White was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Classic last weekend.
After this weekend, SF State will have its home and conference opener on Nov. 30 when Cal State East Bay comes to town for a 7:30pm scheduled tip-off at the Swamp. The Gators will also host Cal St. Monterey Bay that weekend on Dec. 1 also at 7:30pm.
