SAN FRANCISCO--- The 2013-14 SF State Gators' men's basketball team will open up their regular season this Tuesday, Nov. 19 in Rocklin, Calif., for a 7pm scheduled non-conference game with William Jessup. The Gators had an exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Queens, New York, as they gave the St. John's Red Storm everything they could handle. SF State lost 82-80 with Nefi Perdomo leading the way with 23 points.
The Gators, under the direction of head coach Paul Trevor, are coming off a 16-12 season which they finished 13-9 in the CCAA. SF State finished ranked ninth in the NCAA Division II West Region rankings just missing receiving an invitation to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championships. Coach Trevor and his staff returns six letter-winners from last year's team including three All-CCAA performers in Calvin Otiono, Will Overton Jr., and Nefi Perdomo. Also back for the Gators is Max Fodor, Brandon Tatum, Andre Jones and Derrick Brown.
SF State will return to the court after its game in Rocklin, Calif, on Nov. 29 and 30, when the Gators participate in the Carl's Jr. Mac Martin Tournament in Chico, Calif. The Gators will have their home opener on Friday, December 6 at 7:30pm against Chico State.
