SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State men's basketball team will look to continue to build on the momentum from this past weekend's victories as they host Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus in a pair of CCAA games this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9. The Gators went 2-0 last weekend to improve to 11-7 overall and 9-5 in the CCAA. With the two wins, SF State is now in third place in the CCAA Game times for both evenings is set for 7:30pm PST at The Swamp.
Last weekend, the Gators defeated Cal St. Monterey Bay 76-52 behind
Calvin Otiono's 19 point performance, including 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Robbie Herndon added 14 points off the bench and
Decensae White chipped in 12 points. Then on Saturday in Hayward, the Gators defeated Cal State East Bay 89-66 behind White's 21 points.
James Albright added 16 points off the bench while William Overton, Jr. and
Brandon Tatum had 12 and 11 points respectively.
SF State has won three of its last four games and are 5-2 in The Swamp. The Gators have won four of their last five games at home with their only loss a 77-68 setback to Cal State San Bernardino. After this weekend, the Gators will be on the road for a pair of CCAA games in Southern California. They will face Cal State L.A. on Fri., Feb. 15 and Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sat., Feb. 16.
