Box Score HAYWARD, Calif.--SF State Gators had four players score in double digits led by
Nefi Perdomo's 21 points to key their 71-64 win over the Cal State East Bay Pioneers. With the win, the Gators are now 9-6 overall and 7-5 in the CCAA and tied for fourth place in the conference with Cal State L.A. and Cal State Stanislaus.

Besides Perdomo's game high 21 points, the Gators received double digits performances from
Calvin Otiono with 16 points off the bench including dishing three assists and going 3-fo-5 from three-point land and 7-of-8 from the charity stripe.
Will Overton, Jr. chipped in 15 points and
Brandon Tatum recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
SF State held the Pioneers to just 42% shooting including just 35% in the second half while forcing 15 turnovers. Jacari Whitfield had 18 points (6-for-8 from three's) to lead the way for Cal State East Bay (7-11, 4-8 CCAA).
The Gators shot 55% from the field and out-rebounded their opponents 34-24 including grabbing 10 offensive rebounds.
The visitors jumped out to a 15-4 lead in the first six minutes of the game capped by an Overton lay-up off an assist from
Nick Calcaterra.
Cal State East Bay outscored the Gators 18-7 in the next nine minutes to tie the game at 22-22 on a Mark Samuels' lay-up.
The Gators finished the half outscoring their hosts 13-8 to take a 35-30 lead into half-time.
SF State started the second half how it started the first half outscoring its hosts 9-5 en route to a 44-35 lead in the first five minutes of the new stanza.
Cal State East Bay chipped away at the Gator lead and tied the game at 46-46 on a three by Jacari Whitfield, but the Gators came right back and went on a 7-0 run capped by an Overton three off an assist from Perdomo.
The Pioneers would not go away as they cut the deficit to 60-57 on a lay-up by Kyle Frakes with just 3:13 to go in the game.
SF State once again went on a run, this time a 9-0 run capped by a Perdomo free throw to give the Gators a 66-57 lead with just 59 second on the clock.
The Gators finished the game 5-for-7 from the line en route to closing out the 71-64 victory.
Besides his 21 points, Perdomo dished out 5 assists and recorded three steals while grabbing 7 rebounds for the Gators.
SF State will continue its four-game road trip this coming weekend for a pair of games on CA-Route 99. The Gators will first face Cal State Stanislaus this Friday, January 31 in Turlock. Then a week from this evening they will travel to Chico for a game against Chico State as the Gators will begin the second half of the conference season on the road.
The Gators defeated Cal State Stanislaus 71-56 on December 7 in San Francisco and lost 67-50 to Chico State at home on December 6.
