SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gators' men's basketball team will begin their second half of the CCAA season on the road. The Gators will travel to Turlock this Friday, Jan. 31 to face Cal State Stanislaus and then this Saturday, Feb. 1 will travel north to face Chico State in Chico. Tip-off for both games is set for 7:30pm PST. SF State is coming off a 1-1 weekend as the Gators are now 9-6 overall and 7-5 in the CCAA. They are tied in a three-way tie for fourth place with Cal State Stanislaus and Cal State L.A.
In their 78-72 loss last Friday at Cal State Monterye Bay,
Will Overton, Jr. paced the Gators with 24 points while
Calvin Otiono had 19 points off the bench and
Derrick Brown chipped in 10 points. Then in their 71-64 win at Cal State East Bay as
Nefi Perdomo had 21 points and was one of four Gators to score in double digits. Otiono had 16 points off the bench while Overton chipped in 14 points.
Brandon Tatum had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Gators.
After this weekend, the Gators will return home next Friday, Feb. 7 to begin a four-game home stand. SF State will host Cal State Dominguez Hills on the 7th and Cal State L.A. on Feb. 8th.
