LOS ANGELES –SF State finished its season long four-match trip 2-2 as the Gators lost 2-0 to the CCAA first place Cal State L.A. Golden Eagles this afternoon in Los Angeles. Heather Williams keyed the Golden Eagle win scoring two goals in the 67
th minute.
"We played well teh first half against a good CSULA team to keep the match tied," said SF State head coach
Jack Hyde. "They forced us to make two errors that resulted in their goals."
The Golden Eagles now have won their last six matches in a row to improve to 6-0 in the CCAA and 11-1-1 overall.
SF State had its two-match winning streak snapped this afternoon to fall to 7-5 overall and 2-4 in the CCAA.
Cal State LA. outshot the Gators 13-5 including 10-3 in the first half while also winning the shots on goal battle 5-4. The Golden Eagles also held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Allison Land kept the match scoreless as she recorded three saves in the first ten minutes of the match. Her last two came in the ninth minute as she stopped the Golden Eagles' Amalia Arvidsson and Veronika Steen from giving the hosts the lead.

th minute as Yi Du stopped
Autumn Fox's attempt from giving the guests the 1-0 lead.
SF State had two more chances in the final minutes of the half to score the match's first goal, but Du stopped
Kelsey Wetzstein and
Sydney Stout's attempt from giving the Gators the lead.
It looked like the Gators were going to take the lead 11 minutes into the second half, but
Elizet Ceja's shot was blocked by the Cal State L.A. defense.
10 minutes later, Heather Williams connected on a corner kick by Shea Richards which headed it to Joanna Espinoza who passed it to Williams for what proved to be the game-winner.
Williams doubled the Golden Eagle advantage forty seconds alter as she connected on a cross by Danielle Telles.
SF State had a chance to cut into the Golden Eagle lead, but Wetzstein's shot was stopped by Du in the 87
th minute as the hosts held on for the 2-0 win.
The Gators will return home to begin a three-match home stand beginning with this Friday, October 17 at 3pm, when they host Cal Poly Pomona.
