Strong Second Half Not Enough For @SFState_WBB

RHONERT PARK – A strong second half and a career-day from Jasmine Flanagan was not enough as the SF State women's basketball team fell to 0-8 on the year after losing on the road to Bay Area rival Sonoma State 70-64 at the Wolves Den on Sunday.

Trailing after the intermission by 11, 39-28 the Gators caught fire, led by Flanagan's hot second half.  The Gators senior guard connected on 6-of-10 from the floor, scoring 15 of her 21 points after the intermission.

The Gators (0-8/0-4 CCAA) opened up the second half going on a 11-4 run to cut the Seawolves lead to four, 43-39 following a runner in the paint by senior forward Liz Wyrsch.  Wyrsch had her best game of the season this afternoon, she played 25 minutes, grabbing seven rebounds, five on offense, with three steals and four points, all career-highs.
