SAN BERNARDINO – The SF State women's volleyball team saw its winning streak snapped on Friday night, the Gators fell to host Cal State San Bernardino in straight-sets 20-25, 16-25, and 16-25 at Coussoulis Arena.
The Gators (7-9/5-4 CCAA) battled hard in the opening set, but could not overcome the hot play from the No. 23 Coyotes (14-3/7-2 CCAA).  SF State hit .126 on the evening, while CSUSB recorded a .380 attack percentage.  The Gators finished the night with 32 kills, and 19 attack errors.
Leading the team on the attack was junior 
Taylor Brownlee.  Brownlee finished the night with 12 kills on 33 swings for a .273 attack percentage.  This marks the eighth-straight double-digit kill performance for Brownlee.
Jaclyn Clark was second on the team with eight kills on 23 swings.  
Catherine Feathers led the Gators with 24 assists,

In the opening set the two sides battled back and forth, the Gators had a slim 16-15 lead midway through the first.  From there the Coyotes took control, finishing the set on a 10-4 run to take the frame 25-20.  The Gators hit .147 in the set, the Coyotes responded hitting .393 on the set, which proved to be the difference.
In the second set the Gators once again were locked into a tight battle early.  The Coyotes took a commanding seven point lead late in the second following a Clark attack error.  In the third and final set, the Coyotes jumped out early, following a Gator timeout, SF State retook the lead, 8-7, but the Coyotes were once again able to rally, putting together a series of five and six point runs to eventually take the set 25-16.
The Gators return to action tomorrow evening, when they travel to San Diego, Calif. to take on UC San Diego at the Rimac Arena.  First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
