SAN FRANCISCO–   The SF State Gator men's basketball team improved to 5-0 for the first time since 2008-09 when they started the season 7-0 with a 73-72 overtime win over the Academy of Art Urban Knights this afternoon at Kezar Pavilion in San Francisco.  Floyd Wormley had a team high 15 points to lead the Gators to the non-conference win.  He was one of five Gators to score in double digits in the victory.

"It feels great to open up the season 5-0," said SF State head coach Paul Trevor.  "This was a tough road win for us," added Trevor. "We need to how to play with a lead and dig in on defense and stay on to top and to extend the lead."

Wormley had 15 points on 5 of 9 shooting from the field including 2-for-3 from three-point land while going 3-for-4 from the charity stripe.  He also grabbed 7 rebounds while dishing out two assists and recording two steals.  Also scoring in double digits for the Gators (5-0) were Israel Hakim and Coley Apsay each with 12 points while Nick Calcaterra and Brantley Bynum each chipped in 11 points.
