SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco State Gators had four players in double figures led by
Coley Apsay's 19 points followed by
Warren Jackson's 18 points.
Nick Calcaterra added 14 points for the Gators while
AJ Kahlon recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the Gators' 84-69 win over Academy of Art.
The game was tied 26-26 when the Gators outscored their opponents 18-5 in the final five minutes of the first half to take a 43-31 lead at the half. San Francisco State increased their lead to 54-36 in the first four minute of the second half, its largest of the game.
Academy of Art cut the deficit to 67-63 with just 6:51, but the hosts went on a 15-2 run in the next five minutes as they defeated the Urban Knights 84-69.
The Gators will return to the court tomorrow evening at 7pm in the final game of the San Francisco State Tip-Off Classic. They will face Dominican University of California who defeated Stanislaus State 60-58.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE: AJ Kahlon recorded his first double double as a Gator scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while blocking five shots in 27 minutes. The senior post player went 6 of 9 from the field.
ASSISTING AWAY: The Gators had 15 assists with
Parker U'u's four assists leading the way.
Coley Apsay and
Warren Jackson each had three and
Nick Calcaterra added two.
EIGHT STEALS: San Francisco State recorded 8 steals led by
Coley Apsay's four steals. Nick Calcaterera added two and two other Gators had one each in
Warren Jackson and
Chiefy Ugbaja.

Paul Trevor's seven years at the helm of the San Francisco State men's basketball program.
