@SFState_WBB Looks To Rebound Down In Southern California

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco State women's basketball team is currently mired in a six-game losing streak; they look to end that skid on Thursday when they travel to Los Angeles to battle Cal State L.A.  They will conclude the road trip on Saturday when they take on Stanislaus State in Turlock.  Both games are slated for a 5:30 p.m. start time.
 
SFSU enters this weekend's contest with a 2-10 overall record.  In the California Collegiate Athletic Association they are 0-5.  They are coming off a 52-48 home loss at the hands of Humboldt State, a game in which they led for 37 minutes. 
 
As a team, the Gators are averaging 54.4 points per contest, and shooting 36.6 percent from the field.  Their opponents are averaging 63.7 points per game and shooting 42.4 percent from the field. Nationally, the Gators rank 39th for personal fouls, averaging just 16.0 a game and are 79th in both blocked shots per game (3.5) and total blocks (42).

Who Is Hot
Junior forward Kaitlin DaDalt is red hot for the Gators right now.  Over the last two contests she is averaging 15.0 points per game.  Against Chico State last weekend, she scored a career-high 18 points.  She followed that up with 12 points against Humboldt State, scoring all 12 of her points in the opening half.
 
Heating Up From Long Range
The Gators are starting to get hot from beyond the arc. Over the last two games, the Gators are 10-for-27 from long range.  Against the Jacks on Tuesday, the Gators lit up Humboldt State in the first half going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc.

The Golden Eagle's enter this week with an overall record of 7-7 and are 4-2 in the CCAA.  At the Eagle's Nest they are a perfect 4-0.  CSULA has lost two-straight after falling to Cal State San Marcos and UC San Diego on the road last week.  As a team, the Golden Eagles are averaging 64.7 points per game and shooting 40.8 percent from the field.  Their opponents are averaging 69.2 points per game and shooting 41.8 percent from the field.  
 
Who To Watch
CSULA has two players averaging better than 13 points per game, leading the team is junior center Rikkee Fabricius.  The native of Denmark is averaging 14.7 points per game and grabbing 5.4 rebounds per game.  Against Cal State San Marcos on Dec. 31 she scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Stanislaus State enter this week with an overall record of 6-8 and are 4-1 in the CCAA.  At the Fitzpatrick Arena they are 3-1.  Last week the earned a split, defeating Cal State San Bernardino 66-56 before falling to UC San Diego 69-63 on the road.  As a team, the Warriors are averaging 61.2 points per game and shooting 35.6 percent from the floor.  Their opponents are averaging 64.7 points per game and shooting 40.0 percent from the field.

Who to Watch
Three players are averaging double figures for the Warriors.  Leading the team is senior guard Reana Hardin who is averaging 13.1 points per game.  However, the player to watch is fellow senior Cassidy Sanders-Curry.  Sanders-Curry has posted back-to-back 20 point performances.  Against SCUSB she scored 23 points while grabbing seven rebounds.  She followed that up with a double-double against the Triton's scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 boards.
