ARCATA, Calif. — The San Francisco State women's soccer team outshot host Humboldt State on Saturday afternoon but fell 1-0 in overtime.
- The Gators (2-12-1/0-10 CCAA) outshot the Lumberjacks (4-9-2/3-7 CCAA) 22-15(8-5).
- HSU held a 10-6 corner kick advantage.
The Gators went on the attack first, though Carly Otega's shot in the second minute was blocked. SF State fired off three more shots before the Lumberjacks attempted their first shot in the 12th minute. SF State came out on the attack in the second half as well but Sydney Yuen's shot in the 47th minute was saved. Katelyn Patterson had a late look in the 81st minute but that was saved, and she had another shot in the 87th minute that was blocked. Emily Kaleal's header in the 89th minute was wide and the match headed to overtime.
Patterson had a shot in the 92nd minute that was saved and Kaleal had a shot a minute later that was saved as well. Ortega had a shot saved in the 96th minute. Lindsey Stoner fired a shot high in the 97th minute for HSU but netted the game-winner off a pass from Pikake Hix in the 100th minute with a high shot over the goalkeeper.
Hayley Garriott finished with three saves. Katelin Talbert made eight saves for the Lumberjacks.
SF State returns home for the final two matches of the season versus Cal State LA on Thursday, November 7 and Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday, Novemer 9.
