SEASIDE, California - The San Francisco State volleyball team got back to its winning ways on Saturday, completing the season sweep over Cal State Monterey Bay , 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 25-15).
- SF State (14-7/7-5 CCAA) remained a perfect 13-0 when they hit over .245. The Gators matched their home win total from a year ago.
-  Payton Jensen had 54 assists, her third 50+ assist performance this year. Taylor Garcia had 20 digs and Bailey Johnson had a season-best 18 kills.Â
- One more win and SF State will secure its most wins since 2012.
- The Gators are now in sole possession of first place in the CCAA North Division standings.Â
The Otters jumped to a 6-1 lead before a Sophie Anderson kill cut the run. A 6-0 run capped off by back-to-back Jessica Haynie kills put the Gators up 16-13, and another 6-0 run widened that lead to 23-17, ended off by a Jensen ace. Another Haynie kill ended the contest at 25-21.
SF State stormed to a 15-12 lead following a 5-0 run featuring kills by Jade Gillespie, Trinity Barr and Drew Morris, however the Otters leveled the match with a 6-0 run for the 25-21 win.
A Johnson, swing made it 6-1 in the fourth, and a Otter error extend the lead to 12-2. Another host error made it 18-5 as the Gators ran away with the fourth, and Barr and Johnson went back-to-back as SF State went up 20-8. Barr put it away with her 13th kill to the near sideline for the win.
The Gators travel north for Chico State on November 6 at 7 p..m. Live results will be provided.Â
