How it Happened
The Gators fell behind 12-2 in the first six minutes of play and never recovered. The Broncos grew the lead to as large as 13 and led by 11, 34-23, at the half. SF State made a run in the second half. An Acliese layup trimmed the lead to eight and DJ Sylvester splashed a three that cut the lead to five with 12 minutes to go. However, the Gators went scoreless for nearly four minutes and didn't make another field goal until Jase Wickliffe connected with Acliese with 5:31 to go. The Gators and Broncos played even the rest of the half.
