How it Happened
SF State raced out to an 11-2 lead in the first six minutes. Acliese dunked one home to make it a 15-point lead with under nine to play in the first half, though the Lumberjacks trimmed the lead to as few as eight and nine at the half. HSU opened the second half on a 7-0 lead before Tyler Jackson's free throw kept the Gators ahead by three. The Lumberjacks answered yet again but Jackson slammed one home and Sylvester hit a three to put the Gators up six with just under 14 minutes to go in regulation. Zachariah Christian hit a three and followed with a pair of free throws with 7:41 to go that tied the game at 54-54. The Gators went on a 9-0 run, with seven of those points coming at the line, to reclaim control of the game. Orr hit a three with 3:45 to go that made it a 10-point game. SF State built the lead as to many as 12 down the stretch.
