TURLOCK, Calif. — The San Francisco State women's basketball team suffered its worst loss of the season, 102-50, to Stanislaus State on Saturday evening.
- The Gators fall to 1-21/1-18 CCAA while Stan State improves to 13-12/11-9 CCAA.
- Muirae Gomez led SF State with 15 points and fouled out with 8:31 remaining in the game. That left the injure-laden Gator roster with five players for the remainder of the game.
- Madison Corder played all 40 minutes and finished with 13 points, 11 of which came at the line, and a team-high seven rebounds.
- Gabby Jajeh, making her eighth appearance of the season, scored a career-high six points in the loss.
- Five different Warriors reached double digits, led by 12 from Ashley Hansen.
The game was out of reach nearly as quickly as the game started. Gomez scored the game's first bucket but the Warriors went on a 16-2 run and never looked back. The Gators trailed 36-13 at the end of the first quarter and 55-24 at the half. The Gators were outscored 29-10 in the third quarter but played a close fourth quarter.
The Gators play their final road game of the season on Thursday, February 20 at Chico State. The doubleheader begins at 5:30 with the men at 7:30 p.m. The doubleheader will be streamed by Chico State and live stats will also be available at sfstategators.com.
