  • Simpson (3-6) got on the board first thanks when an error led to a sacrifice fly.
  • The Gators answered quickly in the bottom of the first with Trevor Rogers' RBI single that brought home Jonah Gonzales.
  • In the second, it was a trio of new Gators who put SF State ahead for good. Richie Rios and Nicholas Upstill both singled and Rudy Aguilar scored them both with a double to left.
  • Jackson Kritsch's two-run homer in the fourth cleared the SF State Baseball sign in left center field and extended the lead to 5-1.
  • In the seventh, Jason Hare scored on a Rios infield single.
  • In the eight, Gonzales and Kritsch drew back-to-back walks. Kritsch drew a throw from the catcher and was caught in a rundown, which allowed Gonzales to score from third.
