How They Scored

  • Brylynn Vallejos and Michelle Castro both worked full-count walks and later executed a double steal of second and third. Vallejos scored easily on Nina Revoir's sac fly to left field and Castro came racing home when the throw to third was in the dirt and got away.
  • Katie Rohrer doubled home a run in the fourth.
  • Samantha Luckie kept it going and broke the game open with a pinch-hit double to left center that scored two more.
  • Revoir added another sac fly in the fifth to make it 6-0.

In the Circle
  • Emily Mitchell (3-1) went the distance for the complete-game win, a one-hit shutout. She faced just five over the minimum and struck out eight.
  • Kyndra Marzorini (1-3) gave up five runs on three hits in four innings of work for the Warriors. Megan Stacy gave up a run and Danielle Stallings pitched one scoreless inning.

How They Scored

  • Pitcher Emily Minteer struggled with her command in the second. She issued back-to-back four-pitch walks and loaded the bases. An infield error didn't help things and allowed a pair of runs to score. Minteer issued another four-pitch walk. The Gators got a runner out at home on a bases-loaded fielder's choice but Aliyah Garvin's two-run single landed just inside the right field line and doubled the Warriors' lead to 4-0.
  • In the third, Michelle Castro's worked an eight-pitch at-bat in her favor for a single to left center that got the Gators on the board.
  • SF State found life in the fifth inning. Lehua DeLeon drew a leadoff four-pitch walk. Two batters later, Castro did the same, then Tianna Jacques doubled them home to cut the lead in half.
  • Still in the fifth, Nina Revoir reached on a fielder's choice. Catcher Payton West didn't hold onto the throw home from third baseman Riquel Riveira, which allowed Castro and Jacques to both score and tie the game at 4-4. However, the Gators stranded pinch hitter Kate Rhinehart at third.
  • SF State threatened in the sixth with the bases loaded but failed to plate a run. That proved costly when the Warriors took the lead in the seventh on Korie Corral's two-out RBI double. In the bottom of the seventh, Revoir reentered and promptly singled up the middle. Sydney Jenkins laid down a sacrifice bunt and a groundout got the runner to third but the Gators failed to tie the game.
