SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw versus Cal State LA in the two teams' CCAA opener on Friday afternoon at Cox Stadium.
- The Gators' record moves to 2-5-1/0-0-1 CCAA while the Golden Eagles remain winless at 0-5-2/0-0-1 CCAA.
- Both teams had six shots and one shot on goal apiece.
- Natalie Reynoso attempted Cal State LA's shot on goal. Nicki Friedman put her shot on frame in the 55th minute but had her shot saved.
- San Francisco held a 4-2 corner kick advantage.
- Alyna Flores's second shot came in the final seconds but her last-ditch effort from near the top of the box sailed high as time expired.
Neither goalkeeper was challenged. Marcella Salyer made a save to earn her second shutout. Areli Reyes played the first 45 minutes for the Golden Eagles and did not face a shot. Olivia Spanish played the final 65 minutes and made one save.
