SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The San Francisco State volleyball team fell to No. 12 Cal State San Bernardino 3-0 at Coussoulis Arena. They dropped the sets by scores of 25-10, 25-21 and 25-14.
- The Gators fall to 12-3 and 5-3 in the CCAA. The Coyotes improve to 13-3 and a perfect 8-0 in conference.
- Jessica Haynie was the only Gator with double-digit kills with 11 kills.
- The Gators had a season low hitting percentage of .067.
- Brianna DeBoer had a team high 19 digs.
After the Coyotes started 3-0 to start the set, they never looked back. Cal State San Bernardino held the Gators to a -.020 hitting percentage.
With the set tied at 9-9, the Coyotes went on a 4-0 run to take a lead in the set. The Gators stringed together a 3-0 scoring run to tie the match up at 17-17. Down 24-20, Jessica Haynie landed a kill to give the Gators control of the serve. A service error gave the Coyotes the second set win.
Cal State San Bernardino used a 5-0 scoring run to take an 11-3 lead in the third set before a service error ending the scoring run. The Gators never recovered and finished the set with eight attack errors.
