SAN FRANCISCO — Jessica Haynie of the San Francisco State volleyball team has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week as announced by the conference Monday morning. Haynie is the second Gator to earn conference honors this season with Izzy Issak getting the honor for the week of September 20-26.

Haynie had a monster week to lead the Gators to 2-0 and close out the regular season undefeated at home with a 16-0 record. Her 26 kills against Cal State San Marcos led a comeback effort with the Gators down 2-0 in the match. It's the sixth most recorded in a single match in program history. Her four block assists against the Cougars also helped set a new team record for most total blocks in a match at 18. She followed that up with 23 kills on .360 hitting in a win over Cal State East Bay.

San Francisco State will travel to Cal State San Bernardino to compete in the CCAA Tournament. The Gators' first match will take place on Thursday, November 18 at 5 pm. The #3 seeded Gators will face #6 seeded Cal State San Marcos. The match will be broadcast free on the CCAA Network with live stats available at sfstategators.com.
