How it Happened
Cal State San Marcos led wire-to-wire. Sean Dunn scored a layup on the Cougars' first possession and CSUSM quickly led 8-2. August made a three to cut the lead to three but Jayce McCain answered back. The deficit grew to 10 by the 13-minute mark and to 51-25 by the end of the first half.

The Gators' struggles continued in the second half as SF State missed its first eight three-point attempts and went 1-of-12 from deep in the second half. The lone make came at the eight-minute mark when Robinson Jr. hit Jacob Huynh for the make in front of the Gators bench.
