LEXINGTON, Kentucky - San Francisco State's
Jessica Haynie has been named an All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She earned Honorable Mention honors. This is the first time in her career she has earned All-American status. Haynie is the second Gator to be named All-American. Bailey Johnson was previously named All-American Honorable Mention by the AVCA in 2019.
Earlier this month, Haynie became the third Gator to earn AVCAÂ West Region Honors in the
Matt Hoffman era. Bailey Johnson earned Honorable Mention honors and
Trinity Barr was named West Region Freshman of the Year in 2019.
An All-CCAA First Team selection, Haynie had a strong season in her final year in a Gator uniform. Haynie led the team in kills (346) was third in digs (163) and service aces (35) and ranked fifth on the team in blocks (34). The senior had one of her best weekends in the regular season final when she racked up 49 kills on the weekend and a career high 26 against Cal State San Marcos en route to earn CCAA weekly recognition as well as being named the first AVCA National Player of the Week in Gator history.
The Gators finished the season with a 22-5 record that included a perfect 16-0 record at home. The 22 wins are tied for the most in a season.
