VB | Wilson Named CCAA Offensive POW

SAN FRANCISCO - Tamiya Wilson of the San Francisco State volleyball team was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference Tuesday morning.

Previously, Kimberly DeBoer earned Setter of the Week for the week of Aug. 25-28 and Chloe Henning won Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 19-25.

In a 2-0 week for the Gators, Wilson notched 41 kills and averaged 5.86 kills per set. She set a new career-high with 25 kills in the first match with Cal State Monterey Bay, good for seventh all-time in a single match. The 25 kills is also the most in a four set match by a CCAA player this season.

Wilson, a true freshman from Temecula, leads the conference in kills with 3.89 per set and is second with 4.16 points per set. Currently, she ranks 27th in the nation in kills per set and 43rd in points per set.
