HAYWARD, Calif. — The San Francisco State men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision on Sunday afternoon at Cal State East Bay.
- SF State drops to 3-3-4 overall and 1-1-2 in CCAA play while the host Pioneers improve to 4-4-3 and 2-1-1 in CCAA action.
- SF State dominated the ball with 14 shots. The Pioneers attempted eight shots and placed three on frame.
- Gustavo Ferrari attempted six shots and placed both of the Gators' shots on goal.
- The Gators also held a 4-2 corner kick advantage.
- Both teams combined for just 11 fouls. However, five yellow cards were issued between the two teams.
- Four field players played all 90 minutes for the Gators: midfielder Yeonhyuk Kwak, forward Julio Gonzalez Ponce, and defenders Manuell Kariuki and Bryan Gomez.
The difference came in the 27th minute when Josh Gaeckle scored from a pass from Aaron Farnan and Danil Menshikov.
Matias Herrera Fuentes (2-3-3) also played all 90 minutes and made two saves for the Gators. Zavier Hajdukovich (4-4-3) also made saves and earned his third straight shutout for the Pioneers.
