SEASIDE, Calif. — A pair of first-half goals were the difference as the San Francisco State men's soccer fell 2-0 to host Cal State Monterey Bay on Thursday evening at Cardinale Stadium.
 
 
	- SF State drops to 3-4-4 overall and 1-2-2 in CCAA play. With the win, CSUMB improves to 5-4-2 and 3-2 in CCAA competition.
 
	- The Otters outshot the Gators 16-4, including 7-2 on goal.
 
	- Denis Vezina and Gustavo Ferrari had the two Gators shots on goal.
 
	- The Gators held a slight 4-3 corner kick advantage.
 
	- The two teams combined for 21 fouls. Four yellow cards were issued between the two teams with the Otters receiving three of them.
 
	- Four field players again logged all 90 minutes for the Gators: midfielders Johnny Kuwano and Yeonhyuk Kwak, and defenders Manuell Kariuki and Bryan Gomez.
 
The Otters struck an early blow in the seventh minute when Roberto Manegas received a short ball at point blank range and finished for his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Mason Ward doubled the lead in a nearly identical play in the 29th minute. 
 
Matias Herrera Fuentes (2-4-3) also played all 90 minutes and made five saves for the Gators. Matthias Milton (4-3-2) made two saves for his third shutout of the year.
