SAN FRANCISCO - Behind 19 points and a career-high six three's from
Mya Blake, the San Francisco State women's basketball team stayed undefeated with a 62-52 win over Academy of Art. Blake did a little of everything to help the Gators to their first 2-0 start since the 2013-14 season.

- ART U selected to finish sixth in the Pac West. The Urban Knights played in the NCAA tournament a season ago.
- Blake's 19 points were one shy of her career high. The six three's ties the most in a single game.

- SF State shot 39.3 from the field and 52.2 from three.
- Tierra Snipes had a team high seven rebounds with five of them offensive. She also had eight points.
The Gators raced to a 8-0 lead before going cold for nearly three minutes. SF State only allowed two baskets by the Urban knights and Blake scored her third three at the end of the first quarter to give the Gators a 18-8 lead.

ART U tied the game up 21-21 at 3:32 with a 10-0 run.
Cheyenne Mckinnie had a hand in the next five points to give the Gators the lead back and Blake finished another quarter with a buzzer beater basket to give the Gators a 29-23 lead at the half.
Good three-point shooting from
Jolene Armendariz gave the Gators good offensive rhythm as they extended their lead by one to go ip 48-41 at the end of the third quarter. Armendariz had three baskets from beyond the arch whileÂ
Samaria Velazquez added one to the third frame as well.
The Gators maintained their lead throughout the fourth quarter and never let the Urban Knights get within fewer than seven of the lead.
