FRESNO - San Francisco State women's basketball played one final exhibition game before the start of the regular season. The Gators fought hard with Division I Fresno State and fell 75-59. They trailed by nine points to open the fourth quarter.

- Earlier this week, the Gators lost an exhibition game to Division I UC Davis 76-51. The Aggies were predicted to finish fifth in the Big West
- Fresno State was selected to finish ninth in the Mountain West Conference.
- Mya Blake had a game-high 22 points and went 3-for-7 from beyond the arch.
- The Gators shot 9-for-11 from the charity strip.
- SF State had 22 fouls compared to the Bulldogs' 14.
Shooting was not a problem for the Gators early on as they shot .500 in the first quarter. Blake scored 12 of the Gators 20 points in the first quarter. The Gators were unable to slow down a Bulldog offense that scored 31 points that quarter. The Gator offense stalled in the second quarter and only sunk one basket to trail 43-27 going into half time.
San Francisco State outscored Fresno State 21-16 in the third frame. Blake came alive against with 10 points in the quarter and went 2-for-3 from three. A jumper from
Taimane Lesa-Hardee opened the fourth quarter up to bring the Gators within nine at 59-50. Back-to-back baskets from the Bulldogs gave them a 14-point lead and the Gators would not cut the lead down to single digits the rest of the quarter.
