CARMEL, Calif. – The San Francisco State women's cross country team competed at the CCAA Championships, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay. The Gators previously raced at the Palo Corona Regional Park in September to open the season.

Anika Pettinger lead the Gators for a third time in a row and came in 42nd with a time of 23:54.7, running nearly 12 seconds faster on this course from the start of the season. Katya Candray was able to finish her first race of the season to cross the line with a time of 24:49.4 to place 61st.

The Gators, who struggled with injuries during most of the season, finished 10th overall with 297. Stanislaus State won for a second year in a row.

At the award ceremony, Olivia Renfro was awarded the Elite 13 Award. The award is presented to the Student-Athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating in a CCAA sponsored championship. Renfro is the second Gator to ever receive the award and first female student-athlete for SF State.
