How It Happened Game 1

An RBI single from Jake Borst in the top of the first inning proved to be all the offense the Yotes would need in game one. Nick Upstill and AJ Schrader each hit for extra bases with two outs in the first and second innings respectively, but the Gators could not bring either of the runners home. Borst would hit another RBI in the fifth and the Yotes added an insurance run in the seventh.

How It Happened Game 2

The Gators offense got off to a much better start in game two as Richie Rios, Smith and Daniel Santos hit consecutive two-out singles with Smith and Santos driving in runners. Two innings later, Smith would record his second RBI of the day to give the Gator's a 3-0 lead. The Gators ran into some troubles in the fifth inning when a fielding error extended the inning and Yotes scored two runs. The Yotes fouled out to close the top of the fifth. Sammy Gonzales gave the Gators an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth and Gary Grosjean was able to pitch a complete game to maintain the lead.
