SAN MARCOS — Gary Grosjean of the San Francisco State baseball team pitched a complete game and got the run support needed in a 6-4 win over Cal State San Marcos in game one of a double header. In game two, the Gators could not contain the Cougars at the plate and fell 14-0.
- SF State sits at 18-25 and 13-22 in CCAA action while Cal State San Marcos sits at 14-31 and 10-25 in the CCAA.
- Daniel Santos' home run was his second of the season.

The Cougars registered back-to-back hits in the second inning to drive a runner in. Santos hit a single to right field in the top of the fourth and the Gators tied it when
Justin Clark hit a double deep into right field.
San Marcos regained the lead with a run in the bottom of the fifth, but the lead was short lived. Santos opened the Gators' four run sixth with a solo shot to right field.
The Gators earned a pair of free bases via a walk and a hit by pitch.
Kody Gardner came in to pinch hit and brought one home with a single to left field.
Kyler Crone came up to the plate next and drove both players home with a single to right field.
The Cougars came within one run in the eighth but
Justin Clark hit and RBI single to give the Gators an insurance run in the top of the ninth. Grosjean allowed a batter on with two outs in the bottom of the inning but struck out the next batter to end the game.
Errors put the Gators in a hole early on as the Gators made two costly errors in a six-run second inning for the Cougars.
Tyler Franks, who was retired after 1.2 innings, gave up six runs with only one of those runs earned. The bullpen combined to give up eight more runs. Offensively, the Gators were not having much success as
Daniel Santos and
Ethan Remmers were the only players to register hits during the game. The Gators struck out nine times and only drew one walk in the outing.
- Gary Grosjean pitched his first nine inning complete game, previously completing the feat in a seven inning game versus Cal State San Bernardino. He gave up nine hits and threw three hit by pitches but did not give up a walk. He tossed four strikeouts.
- Tyler Franks drew the loss in game two. Mike Manley, Ryan Nabas, Garrett Jensen and Jack Reitsma all pitched in relief.
