SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State baseball team wrapped up its season with a 12-9 loss to Cal State LA. The Gators came back within three in the bottom of the ninth, but could not complete the comeback.

Mike Manley.
- SF State finishes at to 18-30 and 13-27 in CCAA action while Cal State LA improves to 21-29 and 16-24 in the CCAA
- Sammy Gonzales went 3-for-5 with a triple.
- Daniel Santos concluded the season with an 11 game hit streak after going 2-for-6
- AJ Schrader and Nick Upstill each had home runs for the Gators.
- Luke O'Brien went 2-for-3 with a team high three RBIs
- The Gators drew three hit by pitches with Gonzales drawing his conference leading 28th.
Cal State LA took a lead early, scoring 11 runs through the first four innings. The Gators finally got on the board with an RBI single from
Kody Gardner in the bottom of the fourth. The Golden Eagles reclaimed the 11-run lead in the top of the sixth.
Despite the deficit, the Gators fought to comeback throughout the next couple of innings. Upstill hit a solo home run and O'Brien hit a sacrifice fly to cut the lead to 12-3. After a lead off triple from Gonzales in the seventh, Santos brought him home with a double and
Gavin Mancha hit an RBI single to score Santos. With bases loaded, O'Brien drew and RBI walk to cut the score to 12-6. In the bottom of the ninth, Schrader hit a two-run homer and O'Brien hit a double to score a runner. The Golden Eagles retired the next three batters to end the Gator's comeback bid.
