Kimberly DeBoer of the San Francisco State Volleyball team was named the CCAA Setter of the Week for the Week of October 2-8. DeBoer picks up the award for the second time this season and fourth time in her career.
DeBoer led the Gators to a 2-0 week that included an upset win over #13 Cal Poly Pomona. She had 95 assists on the week and averaged 13.6 assists per set. DeBoer also had four blocks, 15 digs, two service aces and three kills on the week. Against Cal Poly Pomona, DeBoer aided the Gators to a .357 hitting percentage, their second best of the season. DeBoer's 55 assists against Cal State San Marcos was the second most recorded in a match this season and most in a four-set match.
The Gators have a crucial week ahead with a pair of matches against #13 Cal State San Bernardino. Currently both teams are tied for second in the CCAAÂ with head-to-head wins over Cal Poly Pomona.
